Better Late Than Never

Well, it only took me a solid year, but I managed to finally do it. I am writing…

Again.

A little bit of background story here.

I was born and raised in upstate New York. The small town of Canandaigua was called home. For those us you who are thinking, “Hey is that a native American name?” Indeed it is. It literally translated to “The place where we live.” Or “The chosen spot.”

I attended Elim Bible Institute where I studied Biblical doctrine, Biblical language, (Greek and a bit of Hebrew) as well as in-depth study of all 66 books found in the Bible from cover to cover.

I moved to Pensacola Florida in December of 2011, the next June I married Marie. (My smokin’ hot wife) one year and two days later, My boy Isaac was born. And he has proven that Marie was nothing more than an incubator. Because this kid is a clone.

He looks, acts, talks, and takes after me in EVERY area. And that is what scares me the most, because if this kid is anything like myself, I am in for quite the ordeal.

I Stayed in Florida for five years, And though an odd connection of events, I found myself in the middle of nowhere in south central Iowa. It seems that my Biblical education caught the attention of a senior pastor, and he asked if us Cotter’s would help him launch a church in the tiny town of Oskaloosa.
Now mind you, Osky, as it is known to the locals is even smaller than Canandaigua. Population 10,000.

I am still learning. As even a year later from the move, I still wonder how I am going to be the pastor I need to be with a church whose regular attending congregation has not yet reached 10 members.

It really is all in the Lord’s timing. That’s it in a nutshell.

Tomorrow, I plan to start my “pick of the week” Trust me on this one, you don’t want to miss that.

That’s it from Pastor Amos in Osky.
Keep it in Jesus.
